New Spanish Immersion Program
Many of you have been asking for this unique classroom opportunity. We are proud and excited to offer a Spanish Immersion program starting with the 2012-2013 school year.
Denis' classroom will now be run as a Montessori classroom with the Spanish Immersion aspect added in. What this means is that the children in his room will receive instruction and have conversation in both English and Spanish on a daily basis all throughout the morning Montessori program.
This Immersion program is an option for all children attending Norbeck during the 2012-2013 school year.
If you wish for your child to take part in this program you must denote this in the appropriate space on your school application. You will still opt for Program A, B, C or D based on your needs and then add the Spanish Immersion option. This option will be available for an additional flat rate added to your monthly tuition rate. If you think about it, this program is a steal of a deal; Your child will be receiving instruction in Spanish and English for three hours a day, five days a week, 9 months a year for just a few dollars a day!
Acceptance into the Immersion program will be on a first come, first served basis in conjunction with our requirements (keeping the ages and the sexes balanced).
Those children that are currently in Denis' classroom and wish to take part in the Immersion program at the additional fee must complete the application as stated previously. Those children that are currently in Denis' classroom and do not wish to take part in the Immersion program will need to request another teacher or leave it up to us to re-assign them for the new school year.
All children not in Denis' room will still receive whole group Spanish once a week with Senora Janet.
