Summer Camp
Norbeck Summer Camp program is a fun and exciting opportunity for children ages 2 to 6 years old (click here for an application). Spend your summer with your friends and our fun loving staff as you participate in water play activities, arts and crafts, sports and games during our bi-weekly themed sessions. These sessions may include topics such as:
Space Odyssey, June 18-June 29
Three . . . two . . . one . . . blast off!! Soar into space as we learn about the stars and the planets and some of the world's most mysterious places. The children will have a chance to earn their wings as they go through "Norbeck's Flight Training School." This session will focus on the diversity of the world around us as we explore the outer limits. Be sure to ask your child about the "space-tacular" places they visit throughout their journey!
Around the World in 10 Days, July 2-July 13
Do you have your passport ready? No worries, you'll create your very own as you travel around the world – Norbeck Style. This is the final boarding call for those traveling to faraway lands and exotic destinations! We will bring back a favorite from previous summers when we have our International Food Fair. The children will have the chance to taste treats from various countries – you never know, they might find a new favorite food!
Let's Go Camping, July 16-July 27
Roll up those sleeping bags and find those hiking boots - we are going camping! Watch as we turn Norbeck
into a fun and exciting camp ground where the children can go on a nature walk, help pitch a tent and have a cookout with a (pretend) bonfire. We will be singing campfire songs, sharing fireside tales and making s'mores as we have our very own sleep over during the day!
The Dinosaurs Roam Again, July 30-August 10
Just when you thought the dinosaurs were extinct... Travel back 65 million years when dinosaurs ruled the earth. We will go on a dino-hunt as we uncover prehistoric beasts while learning about their habitat, eating habits and social skills. Watch where you walk – there may be a dinosaur hiding just around the corner!
Mess Week, August 13-August 16 (4 days, weekly rate applies)
This session will emphasize that dirt doesn't hurt! Children will wrap up the summer with 4 days that concentrate on dirtiness rather than cleanliness. Some activities will include play dough, sand box play, whipped cream eating contests, shaving cream battles and mud pie making. Children will wear their oldest clothes to create the biggest mess ever. Let's get messy!!
