A lot of people ask us how we teach children to be such good readers? We tell them that we don’t necessarily “teach” them to be good readers; rather, we give them the foundation they need in order to become great readers. This video introduces our approach to building those foundation skills using the Montessori Methodology.

Norbeck Montessori’s Little Chefs Cooking Class

Every semester Chef Laura and Chef Ed take on 20 Little Chefs to embark on an adventure learning about different kinds of food. This class is no normal cooking class, it is led by two professional chefs, Laura Calderone and Ed Jiloca, who guide our youngsters through how to prepare different kinds of treats. These Little Chefs have fun while learning about different food groups, nutrition, food preparation, and most importantly they try new things that they may not otherwise have tried (like kale)!
